Dinorwic slate quarry was one of the biggest slate quarries at the end of the 18th century. Even today it is still amazing to see the sheer size of the slate rubble hills piled up everywhere. From within the quarry you have a nice view of Snowdon, the Llanberis path, the two lakes Llyn Peris and Llyn Padarn and in the distance (to the NW) you can even see Anglesey.
