林園紅樹林生態區位於高屏溪口附近，緊鄰石化工業區，面積約4.5公頃，區分為高灘地休閒區、紅樹林復育區和伴生植物區，設有行人棧道及2公里長的自行車道，沿途可欣賞高屏溪西岸風光，北可連通大寮、大樹，向南直抵出海口，車道旁誘蝶花木和台灣欒樹等植物按季節不同產生顏色變化，景色優美。園區內亦發現多種蟹、魚類，秋冬之際可見到雁鴨、花嘴鴨、黑面琵鷺等多種候鳥棲息，生態復育成效佳。
