Bingham Lake is located in the Russian Wilderness west of Callahan, California.  A relatively short trail leads one to the lake where one can get a view of Russian Peak across the way.  Shallow water & sandy granite pebbles make for a nice lunch spot.  Salamanders are visible swimming in the water, common in these mountain lakes w/ nearly a dozen of them hiding under the logs & branches in the water.
