在四川乐山，距乐山大佛仅有一里处，有一座规模和平面宏大的佛教艺术宝库---东方佛都，它仿制了国内外佛像3000多尊，利用山体的自然延伸，构成了壮观的佛教画卷长廊。该全景是在东方佛都凌云寺内拍摄，凌云寺是一座千年古刹，目前，凌云寺已开辟成“乐山大佛陈列馆”，馆内陈列大量实物、文献、图片和模型，展示了乐山大佛九十年建造史和历代保护维修史，充分反映出乐山大佛不愧为世界艺术瑰宝，建筑史馆就是其中之一。
