On the highest summit of the parish of Riodades, at 630 meters of altitude, is located the Our Lady D'Alegria Chapel, exlibiris of this parish, built by a benefactor of Riodades, Mr. Acacio da Luz Sobral.

The festivities in honor of Our Lady d'Alegria took place on the 12th and 13th of September, more recently the emigrant’s festivity takes place on the same days in August. One of the highest moments of these festivities is the farewell to Our Lady d'Alegria, after the open-air mass and on the blue and white litter, they goes through the crowd, who wave white handkerchiefs, it's a touching act. It should also be noted that at the top of the hill where the chapel is located, the view is breathtaking, with access by car and on foot via an elegant staircase.
