This sphere image was taken durring the rainy season nearly 4 years after the one right next to it on the exploration of Rivier des Pepites. It was also taken with a 7 GoPro camera rig that I built. Lots of comparisons here, between wet and dry season, the angle of the sun, and the general "feel" of the sphere image taken with the GoPro versus the one I took with my Canon 7D.
In addition too the far greater flow of water in the GoPro image you can't miss the poor quality of the image definition where the trees are backlit by the sun and bright clouds. GoPros don't do well with high contrast situations. On the other hand when I look around in the GoPro sphere the "feeling" of being in a mountain gorge surrounded by forest comes through better than in the earlier image. I'm not sure why.
