六龜區往不老溫泉約3公里處聳立著一尊釋迦牟尼大佛。這尊位於彩虹山宗教園區的大佛背後有件軼事。在2009年強颱莫拉克襲台時，山璧坍塌，土石滑落，幸而當時因有佛像擋著，土石從左右兩側滑下，使當時在佛像正前方的餐廳人員躲過一劫。背倚翠綠的山巒，襯著藍天白雲，這座法相莊嚴的彩虹山大佛，是過路旅人不容錯過的景點。
