石頭厝約民國前六年建造左邊兩邊，右邊(廚房)則是數年後再建造完成。石頭屋是指東街裡兩戶相連的中藥行與雜貨舖，裡頭的階梯牆壁都是鑿石而成，大廳裡擺設中藥櫃、石臼、手秤等先人遺留的器物。在石碇東街的街道裡有著近百年歷史的老屋，相當具有早期的石碇特色，裡面有相當多的石器以及古老的製藥器材，讓您可以體驗一下從前人生活在其中的感覺。
