原小林平埔族文物館位於甲仙區的小林國小內，是國內第一座平埔族文物館，主要展示早期農具、狩獵器具、生活用品及太祖信仰為主。然而原文物館已於2009年莫拉克颱風襲台後和小林國小一同被土石流掩埋。2012年新建落成啟用的小林平埔族文物館設於五里埔重建區的平埔文化園區內，為二層樓建築，常設展空間約200坪、特展空間約30坪，外觀展現平埔族土台屋特色，亦可見茅草、麻竹等材質的運用，充分展現西拉雅傳統屋舍的特色。
