This is one os the lowers crests of "Sierra de las Moreras", a small mountain range close to the sea in Mazarron, in Murcia province, Spain.
The picture was taken on a spot 285 metres above sea level, but the range tops at 492 metres ASL (Morron Blanco).
Nature in this hills is breathtaking, despite being very close to many summers resorts and farming facilities.
Several animal species can be found in this "sierra" such as wild boar (Sus scrofa), spur-thighed tortoise (Testudo graeca), peregrine falcon (Falco peregrinus), eurasian eagle-owl (Bubo bubo), bonelli's eagle (Aquila fasciata) and many more.
Flora is quite varied too and includes rosmary (Rosmarinus officinalis), thyme (Thymus sp.), lavender (Lavandula Sp.), needle grass (Stipa tenacissima), chamaerops (Chamaerops humilis), pinetree (Pinus halepensis), periploca (Periploca angustifolia)...
