Traveling along Death Valley Road just a few miles outside the small town Baker is the Silver Lake. Normally this is a dry lake bed and many years ago the old T&T railroad ran though it. You can still see where the old raised railroad bed where the tracks laid so many years ago. Looking down the Silver Lake Road you can see a 20 MPH sign where the road disappears into what is normally a dry lake bed, this is what it can look like after heavy rain storms.
