彌陀區的漯底山擁有蘊藏千年的貝塚遺址與獨特地形，雖然只有海拔52公尺高，但卻是台南、高雄濱海地區少有的高地，而且是高雄最靠近濱海的泥火山地形。地屬軍事管制區，獨具遙制西邊海洋的防禦優勢。山頂上的碉堡可遠眺岡山一帶與彌陀、永安沿海，視野絕佳。
