The Heart of Thomas Hardy is buried in this church yard Stinsford Church Dorset his ashes are buried in Westminster abbey. This is a family plot and all of his family are buried here, also about seven graves down towards the church is the grave of the poet laureate Cecil Day Lewis I expect he chose this place to be buried near to such a favourite poet.
