舊鐵橋溼地生態公園沿高屏溪西岸而建，從高屏大橋至舊鐵橋以北高灘地，面積達120公頃，規劃有戶外廣場、人工溼地、親水空間、景觀綠帶及自行車道等設施，塑造高屏溪沿岸景觀意象，是高屏地區最佳戶外教學與生態旅遊的地點。藍天白雲映襯著新舊雙橋、夕陽餘暉搭配花樑鋼橋造型、水塘倒映晚霞等如畫般的美景，都是值得攝影愛好者捕捉的鏡頭。
