Winthrop Square is nothing out of the ordinary in Boston. It is located in the financial district at the intersection of Devonshire and Otis streets and is named after John Winthrop, the first Governor of the Massachusetts Bay Colony. The city is full of such surprises.
One Winthrop Square is the address for the old 5 story office building that graces the square. The statue in front of the building is that of poet Robert Burns and his shepherd dog, "Luath". For those interested in value, the building sold in 2009 for $21 million (US).
