鄂军都督府,武昌起义胜利后，湖北革命党人和起义官兵立即着手组建中华民国军政府鄂军都督府，原清军第21混成协统领黎元洪被推为都督。1911年10月11日鄂军都督府宣告成立。在革命党人的实际主持下，都督府发布了一系列革命文告，并颁布了一系列具有进步意义的政策措施，为巩固和扩大胜利成果做了大量工作。与此同时，汉阳、汉口为起义军占领，其他各州县也相继光复，武昌起义迅速取得全省范围的胜利，推动了全国性辛亥革命高潮的到来。
