原武德殿建於1920年代，雖經歷1994年燒毀，於2000年重建而成今日的武德殿，仿唐式宮殿的建築形貌，將原本的黑瓦屋頂改為玻璃帷幕，內部地板、門窗分別以柚木、檜木重新鋪設，利用新式建材營造出新的風格，周圍點綴著日式風味的燈飾，搭配現代感的主體建物，日歐景觀形成鮮明對比，莊嚴富麗。除了做為「武德殿文化中心」外，原古道場現也出租給民間餐飲業者，經營結合休閒、藝文、餐飲的複合式餐廳，並有畫作、陶藝等展覽。
