烏來的主要河川為南勢溪與桶後溪兩條河川，河水清澈見底。瀑布公園中，因樹種分佈極富變化，每處景緻都具有不同的風情，沿著公園步道而行，曲徑通幽處，偶可見白耳畫眉、竹雞穿梭，蓊鬱密林中，甚至可見松鼠、飛鼠活躍樹梢。初春時節，櫻、梅、桃花、杜鵑等百花盛開，徘徊在花叢中去眺觀瀑布與纜車，常是攝影者捕捉烏來美景的地方。
