玉打山位於那瑪夏區與嘉義縣阿里山鄉的交界處，海拔高度1271公尺。

從山上的涼亭遠眺，北方可欣賞玉山山脈，向南俯瞰楠梓仙溪，西面則可見曾文水庫。地勢高挑的玉打山是過去原住民獵人們出外打獵時修憩、交換情報的地方。目前為多家電訊轉播、發射站設置點。其氣候陰冷，終年雲霧籠罩，也是非常適合茶樹培育及生長的地方。
