中正湖原稱中圳埤，面積大約２１公頃，是美濃地區的特色景點，也是高雄重要的人工湖。中正湖有著美濃一帶的純樸風情，湖邊自行車及行走道路連結湖中古典中式造型涼亭供行人歇息、觀景。晴時，湖面光色映空，點綴叢叢綠萍，優雅嫻靜，鳥語花香，湖岸林蔭小徑和觀景台上行人遊走駐足，多種鳥類進駐，在日落之際，餘光輝映，美不勝收。
