Mt. Kagenobu - view of Tokyo city buildings 50 km away
Tama

It was an exceptionally fine day, so WOW, we can see the buidings of the central Tokyo, Tokyo SkyTree (the highest tower building over 600 m, which will be opend in 2012), Tokyo bay, Boso peninsula, etc, 50 km away from here.  This is an experimentally stitched 800 Mpixel panorama (20000 by 40000 pixels), but high-resolution area are only limited on the east view around a horizon.  You can also recognize the silhouette of Mt. Fuji against the light of the sunset in the west.  Mt. Kagenobu is one of the famous hiking spots near Tokyo, so many parties were on the summit.

More About Tama

Tama area is the name of the western part of Tokyo Metropolis.  It consists of 26 cities, 3 towns and a village.  A lot of people (about 4 milion) live in a eastern half part of the area.  However, there are many mountains in the western part of Tama area, and there are very little flat land.  Many hiking spots are in the western area, so you can enjoy walking on the trail, camping, and so on.  If you see the beautiful mountain scene, you may not believe this is also in Tokyo.
