the recently refurbished Teresian Bastion of Timisoara has a baldachin where for many years a medieval canon - captured at the conquest from the Turks in 1718 was placed - now it is weapon free and offers an inedite view of the street. Rumor says the canon was sold by some entrepreneurial guy to several foreign tourists (that later discovered the scheme) when trying to carry it abroad.
